Katie Paschalides

Katie brings a unique blend of business experience, customer service, and local knowledge to her role as a real estate professional with Utopia Real Estate Company.
Before entering real estate, Katie built a successful merchant services business providing credit card processing solutions to small businesses throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. Working closely with entrepreneurs and local business owners has given her a strong understanding of the importance of clear communication, honesty, and long-term relationships built on trust.
Earlier in her career, Katie spent over a decade working as a casino dealer at both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, dealing games such as craps, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and novelties. She also worked as an optometric technician for two years. These experiences helped her develop strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
Katie’s decision to pursue real estate came from her own experience navigating the home buying process. When she began looking at properties for herself, she quickly realized how overwhelming the process could feel, especially for first-time buyers. After encountering a situation where she felt pressured into signing a representation agreement before she was ready, she decided to take a different path and become licensed so she could provide a more supportive and transparent experience for others. Her goal is to make sure clients feel comfortable, educated, and that the entire process is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Katie especially enjoys helping first-time homebuyers navigate the process with confidence, as well as assisting business owners searching for commercial property that supports their long-term goals.
Having lived in many towns throughout southeastern Connecticut, including Preston, Griswold, Ledyard, New London, Norwich, Bozrah, and now Groton, Katie has developed a strong connection to the communities she serves and a deep appreciation for the local market.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her mini goldendoodle Bailey, reading, going to spin class, roller skating, cooking, and relaxing at the beach.

Simultaneously, I remain dedicated to serving my community through my passion for food.
In my role as a restaurant manager, I led a team of front-of-house staff, meticulously generating detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses. These reports provided invaluable insights for informed decision-making and effective cost management.
